What a disc is
A disc is a circular token with diameter and thickness semantics.
How the system uses discs
- discs are circular-symmetry tokens
- they are useful for coins, markers, and round ownership pieces
- disc geometry affects projection, rendering, and editing controls
Face labels
A disc is one of the two token kinds that can print text on its faces. The other is the Block.
Labels are set on the Labels tab of the disc's editor panel and are off by default. A disc is the natural kind for a two-sided value marker: a coin reading 1 on one face and 5 on the other, or a status chit that is blank until it is turned over.
- The label prints on the disc's upper face, and flipping the disc shows the underside.
- Same Both is on by default, so one typed label appears on both faces. Turn it off to give each face its own text, or to leave the underside blank.
- There is no text size setting. The text is sized to fit inside the circle, so a longer label simply prints smaller.
- Text Color starts on whichever of black or white reads against the disc's own color and keeps following that color until you choose an ink of your own.
The Flip action appears only when the two faces differ, since turning over a disc that reads the same either way would show nothing new.
