What annotations are
Annotations are visual markup for the table. They explain, label, or emphasize state, but they are not themselves gameplay pieces.
How the system uses annotations
- annotations sit in their own table band
- they support positioning, rotation, sizing, and deletion like other entities
- annotations intentionally stay outside the Shared Entity System because their semantics are markup-first rather than gameplay-first
